Unknown option `single-branch'

Postby scoobydoo on Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:48 pm

I'm getting a strange error when i use the option to clone a selected branch only in my git configuration.
I have the branch setup to 'master' and clone type = 'selected branch only' and i'm seeing the following error;

Error checking out from SCM: git command: '/usr/bin/git clone --no-checkout --single-branch -b master thor:girIO girIO_Linux_x64' exited with non-zero exit code: 129 (error: unknown option `single-branch'
usage: git clone [options] [--] <repo> [<dir>]

Any help appreciated.

I think the problem is your git version. The --single-branch option was added to git clone back in version 1.7.10, so you need that version (or newer) to use the "selected branch only" option.
